LevelUp Coops Workshop Lineup for FY24-25
We’re excited to announce the LevelUp Coops workshop series for FY24-25, designed to provide NYC worker cooperatives with practical tools and insights to strengthen their operations and achieve long-term success. These virtual Lunch & Learn sessions cover a variety of key topics from financial planning and retirement options to leveraging AI and organizational design. Whether you’re a newly-formed coop or looking to level up your existing cooperative, these workshops are tailored to meet your needs.
Each session will be hosted on Wednesdays from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM, making it easy to fit into your busy schedule. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with experts and learn alongside a thriving community of cooperatives!
Workshop Lineup
1. December 11, 2024: Building Wealth Through Worker Coops: Understanding 401K Plans and Retirement Options
In collaboration with Just Futures, this workshop will explore how cooperatives can implement 401K plans and other retirement options to help close the racial wealth gap. Participants will learn the benefits of providing retirement options to their members, helping secure their financial futures.
2. February 19, 2025: Designing for Success: Organizational Tools for Worker Cooperatives
Join us for an engaging workshop with Lift Economy, where we’ll explore their powerful organizational design tool tailored for worker cooperatives. This session will offer actionable insights on how cooperatives can structure their operations for long-term sustainability, efficiency, and worker empowerment. We will dive deep into how to align cooperative values with structure, and how to use this tool to streamline decision-making processes and create a healthy workplace culture. 3. April 23, 2025: AI for Worker Coops
Discover how artificial intelligence (AI) can streamline your cooperative’s operations. We’ll dive into practical AI applications like ChatGPT, showing how cooperatives can use these tools to boost efficiency, enhance member engagement, and support decision-making.
4. TBD: Onboarding to the Coop Community
This onboarding session is designed to welcome new cooperative members and provide an introduction to core cooperative principles and resources. Participants will have the chance to connect with other coop members and access the tools they need to thrive in the cooperative ecosystem.
